Households and businesses around Suleja face interruptions this week while transmission engineers carry out scheduled grid maintenance. The Transmission Company of Nigeria said the work would affect supply to communities near the Niger State border with the Federal Capital Territory, according to Africa Eye News.

The affected areas include Madalla, Dikko, Gawaraka, Tungan Maje and Dakwa. Jere, Tara and Sabon Wuse were expected to lose power for about 90 minutes while crews moved heavy equipment into place. The grid operator described the work as planned maintenance.
